This section of the policy manual contains the basic non-financial eligibility rules for Aged, Blind, and Disabled Medicaid, the Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries (QMB) Program, the Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiaries (SLMB) Program, the Qualifying Individuals (QI) Program, the Qualified Disabled Working Individual (QDWI) program and the Family Medicaid programs.  These basic, non-financial rules apply to all types of medical assistance, unless this manual specifically states otherwise.

 

This section also describes other types of benefits for which a person may qualify.  An applicant or recipient may be required to apply for Medicare Part B to be eligible for Medicaid.
