A child meets the age requirement as a dependent child for Parent Caretaker Relative and Family Medically Needy if:

The child is under 18, or,

The child is age 18 and,

A full time student (full time as defined by the educational program) in a program of secondary school or equivalent level of vocational or technical training, AND

Reasonably expects to complete that educational program before age 19,

If there are no other children in the home who meet age requirements, an unborn child will be considered an age eligible child if the mother is in the third trimester of pregnancy. The unborn child is counted in the household size. The unborn child is also included in the household size when there are other age eligible children in the home.
