521-28 Austrian Social Insurance Payments

Effective Date: September 1, 2004

No Previous Policy

Austrian Social insurance payments are excluded as resources if they are received by individuals because they suffered a loss (i.e.: were imprisoned, unemployed, or forced to flee Austria) during the period of March 1933 -May 1945.  If a person states that he or she has resources which came from Austrian Social Insurance Payments based on having suffered a loss, accept the signed statement from the person and do not count those amounts as resources.  Interest earned on the funds is excluded as income, but not as a resource.
