Count only income that is countable for DM.  See sections 403-2, 403-4, 403-7 through 403-10, and 405-3.

Count only the actual contributions made by a spouse or parent in a nursing home or on a HCB waiver program.

Total the unearned income.

Subtract the $20 general disregard 409-6.

Total the earned income.

If the client is a minor child, allow the earned income exclusions found in section 405-4.

Subtract earned income deductions (409-2).

Total the remaining unearned and earned income.
