 Previous Policy

Inform parents and pregnant women about the CHEC Program and the importance of preventive health care, including immunizations, at the application interview and review.  Give parents and pregnant women verbal information whenever they inquire about well-child visits, immunizations or extended benefits.  The Dept of Health will mail the CHEC information to the client once the Medicaid program is approved (see Section 703-4) .
