Previous Policy

Coverage under some programs must end at a certain age or time limit to comply with federal and state regulations.  These programs are:

Pregnant Woman  (349)

Child Age 6-18 (347)

Family – 4 Month Extended (343)

When persons age off any of the above programs or the program ends due to the time limit, benefits cannot be extended for them during the eligibility review. Consider eligibility for other programs for those individuals following these guidelines:

If the client provides evidence before the end of the time limited program that shows possible eligibility for another medical program, the eligibility agency must treat the information as a new application.  (See Section 703)

After the effective closure date for the time limited program, the client must reapply for benefits.

The electronic client information will be transferred to the FFM if the client is no longer eligible for Medicaid.
