Obsolete Policy |
This section contains the eligibility requirements for Primary Care Network of Utah (PCN). Individuals must meet all other general requirements that apply to Medicaid programs along with the specific requirements described in this section. You may refer to the policy in the other sections of this manual for eligibility rules that are not specifically covered in this section.
PCN is authorized under a federal waiver of Medicaid regulations approved by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
The Primary Care Network covers the cost of primary care medical services for uninsured adults who do not qualify for coverage under any other category of Medicaid and who are not covered by or do not have access to affordable employer-sponsored health insurance, student health insurance, Medicare or the Veterans Administration Health Care System. PCN has a limited scope of service that is designed to provide basic primary care, emergency care and pharmacy services to eligible individuals.
